Leeds launches fixed rate bonds
15 January 2010
Leeds Building Society has launched a new suite of fixed rate bonds, available over two, three and five years, that guarantee to pay a return of up to 4.50 per cent.
These products combine a good rate of return with the peace of mind associated with access of up to 10 per cent of the initial capital invested, without notice or penalty, at any time.
There is also a monthly interest option available for customers who would prefer to secure fixed income.
Kim Rebecchi, sales and marketing director at the building society, said, ‘In this current low interest rate environment many customers will be looking to secure a competitive guaranteed return that also provides peace of mind and access to some of the funds at any time, without notice or penalty.
‘We know that simple and straightforward fixed rate accounts are popular and, with the Bank of England Base Rate still at just 0.50 per cent, these products offer good value.’
For more information, customers can call into their local branch, visit the website at www.leedsbuildingsociety.co.uk, or call the savings hotline, on 08450 540 995.
