Threadneedle expands management of UK Crescendo fund

Threadneedle Asset Management has announced its has hired Chris Kinder to join its UK Equity High Alpha team from RWC Partners.
Kinder spent the past seven years successfully working on both long only and long/short equity products. He was previously a UK small and mid cap analyst at Govett Investments and spent four years at accountancy and consultancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Leigh Harrison, head of UK equities at Threadneedle, said this latest appointment strengthens the team that manages the Threadneedle UK Crescendo fund and hugh alpha long-only range.
He explained, ‘Chris brings with him strong analytical skills and valuable shorting expertise and a high conviction approach gained working in the hedge fund space.
‘He will feed into the active debate and idea sharing which is at the core of our process on the UK equity desk, and indeed across the investment floor, and is a crucial element in delivering out-performance for our clients. Chris is a strong addition to the team and will ensure we are well placed to grow the UK Equity franchise further.’
