Investors are returning to UK All Companies funds in their droves, according to February’s sales data from The Share Centre.

Legal & General’s UK Index Fund was the best selling fund in February, with 4,201 investors choosing the fund.  Invesco Perpetual’s UK Growth Fund also made the top three bestsellers, with 331 investors buying in.

The Legal & General fund also had the biggest total of inflows, with £672,795 going into the fund through The Share Centre.

Mark Barnes, partner at independent financial advisers Generation Financial Services, said that there is a lot of investors’ cash returning to equities now as people look to inflation-proof their investments.

He explained, ‘Confidence is coming back but inflation could jeopardize that.  People are getting poor rates on their savings, so if you are going to have something that is inflation proofed, the best thing to be in is equities.

‘When people see the FTSE 100 around 5,600, they think back to when it was 3,200 this time last year.  There are opportunities there and I am noticing, from dealing with company directors, that work is getting much busier.’

The second most popular fund last month was Jupiter’s Global Managed Fund, which attracted investment from 1,068 investors.
