Structured product provider Blue Sky bought by US bank
Rob Langston, 05 July 2010
Structured product provider Blue Sky Asset Management has been acquired by securities and investment bank Incapital.
The acquisition will give US-based Incapital a gateway into the UK retail structured product market. Blue Sky will merge into Incapital’s UK affiliate, Incapital Europe and will be led by a management team including Chris Taylor, James Chu and Mark Dickson.
John Radtke, president of Incapital, said the merger would create a strengthened fixed income and structured product platform in Europe.
He said: “Incapital Europe’s clients will immediately benefit from the significant scale and capabilities of the combined business units.”
Radtke said Incapital Europe would announce new initiatives in the UK, Channel Islands and Continental Europe with a greater number of banking counterparties.
Blue Sky Asset Management firm is one of a number of structured product providers in the UK and was established in the 2007.
