Newton Investment Management has poached F&C Asset Management global equities director Terry Coles.

Coles will join Newton’s global equities team as an investment manager

Jeff Munroe, chief investment officer at Newton, said, ‘Terry has a strong background in the management of global equity portfolios.

‘His wealth of experience will add to our existing team and help continue our success in this area.’

At F&C, Coles oversaw a range of mandates with more than £800 million in assets under management.

Before joining F&C, Coles had been a portfolio manager at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management.
