Film production company Ettinger Brothers and producers Gatetarn Productions have launched an Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) for a film based on a 1970s TV series.
The companies aim to raise £2 million for 'Catweazle - The Movie - which drew large audiences in the 1970s - set to be released next year.
Philip Ettinger, executive producer of the film, said, 'Catweazle was a huge success in the 1970s and we’re confident that this film will appeal to a wide audience from children to their parents, as well as fans of the original series.
'This is a really exciting investment opportunity, with some extremely attractive benefits.'
He added, 'The advantage of films is that the money made from a film that doesn’t stop with box office sales, with merchandising and other franchising opportunities also providig excellent revenue streams.'
Ettinger said investors would be invited to attend premieres and meet stars of the film and take part as extras.
Minimum investment in the fund is £20,000.
