Threadneedle appoints Nangle as multi-asset head
Rob Langston, 19 July 2011
Threadneedle Investments has revealed Baring Asset Management's Toby Nangle will join the company as its head of multi-asset.
Nangle will report to chief investment officer Mark Burgess, joining in January 2012.
He is currently a director of both the multi asset and fixed income teams at Barings, having joined the company in 1997.
At Threadneedle, Nangle will focus on growing its multi-asset franchise and work closely with the existing asset allocation team to enhance the process.
Nangle will also focus on new and existing product design, working alongside head of managed funds Alex Lyle.
Mark Burgess, chief investment officer at Threadneedle, said, 'Multi-asset funds are increasing in popularity as a core holding among institutional and retail investors and Toby brings with him a proven track record in this area.
'Our robust multi-asset product range is supported by good long term performance and clear ambitions for the future.'
