Schroders has named former Goldman Sachs senior investor Nicholette MacDonald-Brown as a fund manager on its European equities team.

MacDonald-Brown - who spent 11 years at Goldman Sachs - will report to Schroders head of European equities Rory Bateman.

The new recruit was was a senior investor for three years on the European portfolio at Goldman Sachs Investment Partners.

She was also lead manager of UK Small Cap between 2005 and 2008 and co-head of European and International Small Cap between 2007 and 2008.

'Her experience as a European fund manager as well as her skills in fundamental analysis within the hedge fund space will further strengthen and broaden our existing capabilities.
