Skandia Investment Group has stripped Artemis of two mandates - managed by Jacob de Tusch-Lec - in its Best Ideas range of multi-manager funds.

A £28 million mandate from the Skandia UK Best Ideas fund has been awarded to Liontrust managers James Inglis-Jones and Gary West. The pair already run a mandate in Skandia's European Best Ideas fund.

De Tusch-Lec's other portfolio in the Global Best Ideas Fund has been reallocated to the four other managers involved in the fund.

The Liontrust pair join other well-known fund managers, such as F&C's Peter Lees, Richard Buxton of Schroders, BlackRock manager Richard Plackett, Aegone's Audrey Ryan and Dan Nickolls from Old Mutual Asset Managers.

Lee Freeman-Shor, portfolio manager at Skandia Investment Group, said the Liontrust managers had shown 'exceptional skill' in the management of 10 stocks in the European Best Ideas fund.

He said, 'Their forensic approach to identifying mistakes that people make when making company profit forecasts allow them to spot investment opportunities in companies where others may not.

'This detailed approach coupled with their experience makes them a valuable addition to the fund.'
