Any new road to investment opportunities across the emerging markets’ landscape is to heralded, at least to appropriate degrees.
Exotix Capital, a specialist Frontier and Emerging Markets investment bank, has increased investment potential in the region – firstly with the launch of its Exotix Research Portal in June, followed by the announcement of three new hires, who, it says, will deepen its equities research offering in Africa and Asia.
The company has announced the appointments of Temitope Ode, Rohit Kumar and Phuong Pham.

Rohit Kumar, previously deputy head of research at Insight Securities and, before that, a senior analyst at National Bank of Pakistan subsidiary Taurus Securities, will be cover South Asian Financials from Karachi.
Ode, Kumar and Pham will work closely with Hasnain Malik, Head of Equities Research, Esili Eigbe, Head of Africa Business, and Shah; the positions are effective immediately.
Shah added, “I am excited to be working alongside Temmy, Rohit and Phuong and am confident they will make a significant contribution to our client offering.”
These three financials’ analyst hires follow earlier announcements by Exotix, on September 1st, of its expansion in the Americas, with the recruitment of Rafael Elias, formerly head of emerging markets research and strategy for fixed income at Cantor Fitzgerald. He is a returnee at Exotic, where he will continue his core focus on Latin America as a corporate credit analyst.
Rex Nowell, who has successfully directed independent research sales and account management teams in the Americas, Europe and Asia for the past 20 years – most recently for Roubini Global Economic – also joins Exotix in New York as managing director for new client development.
In addition, Paul Domjan was hired in June to run Exotix’s Research, Analytics & Data unit; he previously founded Country Insights, which was acquired by Roubini Global Economics, Exotix said.
