Generation Financial Services has become the first company in its region to receive accreditation from the Law Society for the quality of its independent financial advice.

The company – a regular reviewer for What Investment – is now listed in the SIFA (Solicitors’ Independent Financial Advice) directory after being granted ‘professional’ status, meaning it has been endorsed as a recommended firm for solicitors that are referring clients.

Marc Barnes, co-founder of Generation Financial services said that it is important that good financial advice firms are recognised.

He explained, ‘This is a very important message to our clients. We are very proud to be the first IFA firm in West Hertfordshire to be invited to join this highly respected body, and look forward to developing relationships with solicitors and their clients.’

Dave Seager, development director of SIFA said Generation is a relatively young business but both directors have huge experience and have worked closely with the legal community in the past.

He added, ‘The location of Generation on the Essex/Herts border was a bonus too, and they become the first SIFA Professional firm to work with us to support solicitors on the M11 corridor.”

Generation Financial Services was set up by Marc Barnes and Shai Patel in April 2008 following the pair’s decision to leave Cavanagh Group.
