JO Hambro launches UK large cap funds
JO Hambro Investment Management is launching two funds for investors looking for returns from UK large cap companies.
The Waverton UK Absolute and Waverton UK Premium funds are designed to complement the existing Waverton UK fund and are Irish domiciled UCITS III structures.
Initially, these funds will be available through Credit Suisse’s UK private banking business only and JO Hambro is permitting switching between the three portfolios with no fee.
Richard Wallis and Simon Wilson will be managing the funds and have a combined 40 years of investment management experience gained from investing in UK large cap companies and using option overlay strategies.
Charles Bathurst, director of JO Hambro Investment Management said that this suite of funds is a vanguard in the industry offering a ‘unique, highly flexible investment proposition’.
He added, ‘We believe [the managers’] proven stock picking expertise combined with the different overlay strategies offer investors a unique way to invest in world class companies, with international earnings, listed on the FTSE 100.’
Managers Wallis and Wilson use a bottom up stock driven approach, focused on identifying and investing in companies of the FTSE 100 index, which they see as one of the most diverse, sophisticated and liquid global markets.
They run portfolios of 30 to 35 holdings with a focus on international companies with non UK dependent earnings.
