This cautious fund is an addition to the existing range of multi-asset, multi-manager funds of funds, focusing on capital preservation and aims to beat cash deposits, inflation and fixed-income investments consistently over the medium to long term.

The fund is designed to strip out market volatility and avoid the risks associated with cyclical, single-asset investments.

Managed by Mark Parry, it is anticipated that the fund will have a high weighting in cash or near-cash securities in favour of other asset classes. This will be complemented by alternative investment opportunities that will support the objective of the fund.

Parry says, ‘In the current environment, a more conservative strategy offers positive risk and return characteristics. We are looking to generate steady incremental performance from the cash element and aim to add capital through opportunistic exposure to the other sectors, using the most efficient investment vehicle available for the market circumstances.’
