IG Group announces finance director
Joe McGrath, 14 December 2010
IG Group has announced its new finance director following the resignation of Steve Clutton in April of this year to 'pursue other opportunities'.
Christopher Hill will be joining the group board from 26 April 2011 as chief financial officer from Travelex where he held the same position since 2007.
The 39-year-old Oxford University graduate has previously worked at VWR International, a US based global laboratory supply company between 2005 and 2007 and at GE from 2000 to 2005.
Jonathan Davie, chairman of IG Group, said Hill’s addition to the board will prove invaluable.
He explained, ‘His recent experience in a rapidly growing international business will prove valuable to IG Group as we continue our strategy of geographic expansion.
‘I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Matt Tooth for the excellent job he is doing in the role of interim finance director and I wish him well in his next role within the Group.’
