Rarely have I been so underwhelmed than when the good people of Morningstar released their 2011 report of how investment houses treat their customers.

Before I go any further, I’d like to clarify that it’s not the report that underwhelmed me; on the contrary, I think it’s an excellent piece of research.

No, it was the results that, once again proved what a grubby, self-serving and insular bunch the British asset management community is.
