Halifax Share Dealing has released a free mobile service for day traders on the go.

The service enables customers to access their accounts and trade shares from their phones, as the markets fluctuate.

Rick Girling, the managing director of Halifax Share Dealing, claims the service is further evidence of the business giving people what they want.

He explained, ‘Having listened to our customers, we have introduced the mobile trading service so they can access their Halifax Share Dealing account while on the go.

'It offers a service that is as safe and secure as trading online.’

What Investment.co.uk was the first to break the news in February last year that the service was in the early stages of development, ensuring that Halifax is keeping pace with its rivals (click here for story).

Traders are able to search company names, buy and sell shares in real time, and get instant updates on how their stocks are doing.

Accounts can be funded from the phone app, to ensure investors can trade at all times without fear of running low on resources at a crucial moment.
