Halifax Share Dealing is to reduce its fee for dealing in international stocks to £4 from £11.95 to tie in with US Independence Day celebrations.

The fee reduction will apply for one trading day after Independence Day - 5 July - from 8am until 9pm GMT.

Damian Stansfield, managing director at Halifax Share Dealing, said the deal would offer customers the opportunity to invest in US and global stocks.

He said, 'The offer is just one in a series of initiatives as part of our commitment to giving customers the best share dealing services in the market at the best price.'
