IG Group finance director resigns
Joe McGrath, 28 April 2010
IG Group Holdings – the umbrella company of extrabet.com, IG Markets and FX Online - has announced that its finance director is leaving.
Steve Clutton is leaving the company after four years to ‘pursue other opportunities’ but will stay with the company until the finalisation of the group’s results for the year ending 31 May 2010.
Matthew Tooth, an existing member of the senior management team and chartered accountant will assume the role on a temporary basis while the company looks for a replacement.
Tooth has been with the Group for over ten years and has held a number of senior positions within the group including risk director and managing director of the Group's UK spread betting business.
Speaking on his departure, Clutton said, ‘I have enjoyed playing a part in IG's continuing success and in building its financial strength and am confident that the Group remains well placed for further growth.’
Jonathan Davie, chairman, added, ‘The Board has enjoyed working with Steve and thanks him for his significant contribution in managing IG's impressive growth over the last four years. We wish Steve well for the future.’
