Blue Chip Bulletin: SABMiller name chief for US joint venture
Rob Langston, 27 April 2011
Brewer SABMiller (SAB.L) has announced Tom Long will take over as chief executive of joint venture MillerCoors following Leo Kiely's retirement in June.
Long is currently president and chief commercial officer of MillerCoors, SABMiller's US joint venture with Molson Coors.
Graham Mackay, chief executive at SABMiller, said, 'Tom brings extensive experience to the table having served previously as chief executive officer and chief marketing officer of Miller Brewing Company.
'He is a savvy operator with a keen intellect and boundless energy. It is gratifying to see his partnership with Leo produce the kind of orderly and smooth management succession that we envisioned during the integration planning process.'
