Hammerson's London group head resigns

FTSE 100-listed real estate investment trust Hammerson (HMSO.L) has revealed Martin Jepson, head of London group, has resigned.
Jepson, who was appointed as managing director of London group in 2008, was reported to have resigned to 'explore new opportunities' and will leave later in the Summer.
Peter Cole, executive director and chief investment officer, will take on additional responsibilities as successor is sought.
David Atkins, chief executive of Hammerson, said, 'I want to thank Martin for his contribution to the business over the last few years, and wish him well for the future.;
Jepson joined Hammerson from Howard Holdings where he was UK managing director.
London represents a significant portion of the company's investment portfolio, including Brent Cross shopping centre and a number of landmark office buildings in the City.
