London Capital Group hires ODL Securities founder

Online trading company London Capital Group (LCG.L) has appointed ODL Securities founder Bill Newton as chief information officer.
Newton will take up a position on the board of London Capital Group from 18 April and will be responsible for its IT strategy.
The new chief information officer will also manage and develop its IT and trading technology services and product delivery for the entire group.
Simon Denham, chief executive of London Capital Group, 'He will be a very strong addition to the team and his technology expertise and industry experience will bring a valuable dimension to the board.'
Newton was most recently a director at TraderTeam Systems, responsible for providing consultancy services to spread betting and FX businesses.
